I've never been, but I just noticed in the journal that the Reverend Horton Heat is going to playing at the French Broad River Festival. Have always heard it;s a great time. With the Rev in the house, I would be down with heading that way.

Yeah the Rev...whodathunkit? That should be pretty cool and fit well in Hot Springs. It's always a good time Andy and if we're lucky we'll get a storm and the Laurel or Spring will run. Well, at this point we'll be lucky if sec 9 runs I guess but it will be a good party as always. First time I saw the Rev was at the Pterodactyl club. Good times.

Cheat Fest and the French Broad River Festival are the same weekend, May 1-3rd.

I'm not sure my liver can handle another cheat fest but I'm gonna give it another go

I have never been to the fest in Hot Springs but have heard it's a fun time.

I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.

That is pretty crazy. Rev. Horton Heat in Hot Springs. Saw 'em about 12 years ago in Athens. I think I made eye contact with the bass player at one point when he was pogoing off of his stand-up bass, and he had a look in his eye like, "yeah, sure - there's only 40 people here now, but in 10 years we'll be rocking Hot Springs bitch!"

Actually they are a lot of fun to see. Would definitely be interested if I'm in town - have to check closer to game time.
