The Southeast Gradient Showdown officially starts at 7:00AM on Saturday, Feb 21, 2009. Your time to sign-up your team to participate is coming to an end! The dead line to sign up your team is defined by Rule #12. Don’t hesitate to sign-up if you don’t think you can commit to four full days of paddling during the 30 day window. All that is required for a chance to win prizes is to sign-up a team, post one day of gradient, & be present at the SGS party at the NOC (Date TBA). What are you waiting for… form a team and Sign Up

Ouch, that was a real zinger. Don't mess with Team Douchebag or they will smack your A$$ down!
I agree tho, we need "not overkill" threads like topics such as WC, cheoah, or the green.
Some people are excited about the SGS and are working hard to promote it. Similar threads....so what? Criticizing them is all you have to do with your time and that's any better?

Andy & Clinton - I am sorry that I have bothered you with another post about the comp.
But I am not sorry for trying to volunteer my time to provide paddlers the opportunity to join up in free events; that other people and I have worked hard to organize. Events need promo and repetition is an effective way to get the word out.
Forgive me for trying to spread some fun...
Just beacuse you think the event is lame does not mean everyone else is not interested. |

Yeah, this is SO much more annoying than the 15 people who post every week trying to sell their boats.
Clinton, buddy, just say no to drunk posting, regardless of how bad your team does. Just think, it could be worse, you could be a wake fan.
